EETV - Network joins the gravy digital express
EE's new digital box!
The network EE (T-Mobile and Orange) have announced their new addition to the ever growing digital TV World. Like the services you know, such as Virgin, Talk Talk, Sky and BT, EE have stretched out to offer a more complete package. This is something the other networks will have to consider if they want to stay on top.
EE's service works seamlessly over WiFi with up to three compatible tablets or phones. You will be able to watch anything from your EE TV box, including your recordings, in any room in the house. It also comes with over 70 Freeview channels, Pause, Rewind, Record and Catch Up and On Demand with HD quality. Like many other products and services already available, you don’t have to pay for an expensive monthly TV service or settle for a TV box with basic features.
The digital box comes with 4 HD (high definition) tuners – DVB (digital video broadcasting) and a 1 terabyte hard drive. A large amount when you compare to Virgins entry level TiV0 of half this size.
What makes EE's TV box stand out a lighter higher than the stand alone sets is that it comes free with their unlimited home broadband which is by far cheaper than many of their competitors. Currently (being the operative word of the ever changing prices in the industry) EE, T-Mobile and Orange mobile customers can get unlimited EE Broadband and EE TV for just £9.95 a month (plus £15.75 monthly line rental.)
Will networks like Vodafone, three and O2 follow suit?
